Out-of-province (OOP) hospital inpatient and surgical daycare episodes include demographic, administrative and clinical data that is collected in the Canadian Institute for Health Information’s national Discharge Abstract Database, and adheres to ICD-10-CA/CCI coding. PDAD captures hospitalizations of NL residents in the province; OOPDAD captures hospitalizations of NL residents in other provinces.
